Make Your Voice Heard - Share Your ESEA Story Today!
The National Education Association wants to hear your stories about how the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB), the current version of Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), affects you, your classroom, your school, and your community. Across the country, NCLB's unfunded mandates and bureaucratic policies are placing burdens on educators and the students you serve. Make sure that politicians in Washington hear your voice by sharing your first-hand experiences about the impacts of NCLB with NEA and congressional leaders.
 

NEA: 2008 Annual Meeting and Representative Assembly Delegates will gather  July 1 through July 6 at the Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC for the Association's 146th Annual Meeting and 87th Representative Assembly.

Read Across America 

Mark your calendars for Monday, March 3, 2008. NEA's Read Across America Day is almost here, and millions of kids, teens, and adults are busy making plans to join the nation's largest reading celebration. Initially created as a one-day event to celebrate reading on Dr. Seuss' birthday, March 2, NEA's Read Across America has grown into a nationwide initiative that promotes reading every day.
